Thoughts on U.S. Society

This has been sitting in my drafts folder for a while, but I think it’s just as applicable now as ever:

It seems to me that we always look to others in seeking to place blame for what has happened to us, our economy and our country.  Until we accept that we all played a role in creating this mess - knowingly or unknowingly, purposely or accidentally - I do not think we will recover as quickly as we want.  This doesn’t mean that we all share the blame equally.  There are certainly some who are more guilty than others.  But we have to take a long hard look at the public of this country, what their wants and expectations of life as an American are, and whether they are fair or sustainable.  It’s a very hard conversation to have, but one I think needs to happen.

About

One woman's attempt to leave her trail through the wilds of the internet. Although unlike Hansel and Gretel, she isn't leaving this trail to get back home, but to lead others to interesting things in their exploration of the world.
